LOVE EVERYTHING YOU SEE IN THE MIRROR – Self-Compassion: The Heart of Mindfulness

You can search throughout the entire universe for someone who is more deserving of your love and affection than you are yourself, and that person is not to be found anywhere. You, yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love and affection. – Buddha

How do you react to the problems of life, such as work stress, rejection, physical problems, or financial hardship? Do you instinctively fight difficult experiences or blame yourself when things go wrong? What if, instead, you learn to comfort and soothe yourself when you feel bad—as you would do for others?

Self-compassion is the heart of mindfulness. It is a skill that anyone can learn. Studies have shown that it enhances happiness, reduces anxiety and depression, and can even help you stick to your diet and exercise routine.

This workshop provides a basic understanding and essential tools for living your life fully and wholeheartedly. You learn how to:

  • Stop being so hard on yourself
  • Handle difficult emotions with greater ease
  • Use kindness rather than criticism to motivate yourself
  • Transform your difficult relationships, old and new
  • Manage compassion fatigue by a renewed understanding of helping
  • Practice mindfulness and self-compassion exercises in everyday life
