Liz Valloor is a teacher by profession. She has two passions: the well being of children especially those who are in difficulties, and the teaching of awareness.

In 1994, Paddy McMahon, a well known spiritual teacher in Ireland, introduced her to the work of Tony de Mello. The power of awareness was evident in the way it saw her through a personal crisis she was facing at that time and the transformation she experienced in every area of her life. Her way of teaching, her parenting skills, her understanding of the feminine, of religion, of compassion and love changed. This process of transformation continues to this day.

Contact with Francis in 1999 was to be a turning point that led to the beginning of teaching Awareness at Sadhana in 2002 and in several other countries. Today Liz continues to teach children in an inner city school while at the same time offering courses on the experience of Awareness in daily living, especially parenting. She is also writing two books on Awareness.
